In order to comply with Government and RICS quality assurance obligations, we now recommend the following supplementary information is retained within your site notes for each site visit. Musts: · An A4 line plan of the property showing heat loss dimensions and general configuration. · Principal elevation photo(s) (minimum of front elevation). · Copy of any Documented insulation specified in the survey. Preferred: · Photo of any insulation stated as Observed in the survey information. · Where the copy function has been used in any respect in producing the EPC, this should be recorded in site notes. · Survey notes/ evidence of any additional unusual features (e.g. unusual heating system features, community heating system, whole house mechanical ventilation features etc). Retaining the above information for submission will greatly assist in Quality Assurance requests and also assist with any future query made to the assessor within the 10 year legal validity of the certificate issued. Where items listed as musts (in bold) are not presented for QA a request to provide them may be made. Where preferred items are not available explanatory evidence may be requested. Kind regards, The Lifespan SAP Team
