"The use of ’Unknown’ as the insulation type should only be used in exceptional circumstances where there is conflicting evidence of its presence. Where evidence of its presence cannot be established 'As built' should be selected. The use of 'Unknown' will suppress any recommendation for installation where this may be appropriate due to the age of the property.
