For a kitchen to be a kitchen/diner it must have space for a table and 4 chairs. A lounge/dining room where the door was temporarily removed (i.e. architrave and hinges still there) is two habitable rooms. A lounge/dining room with the door permanently removed (hinge holes filled etc) is one habitable room.
