"The Central Information Point (CIP) database is provided by CLG and is updated on a monthly basis (usually on the 10th or 11th of the month) with additional degree day data for the preceding month. The latest version of the CIP database will be incorporated into Lifespan DEC immediately upon its official release. The software uses this degree day information to make appropriate adjustments to the user entered energy usage figures. Where degree day information is not available (i.e. it is not yet released) for the assessment period selected by the user the following error will display: CALCULATION ERROR : Degree Day Information is Unavailable for the Assessment Period End Month. Where this occurs you will either need to wait for a later CIP database to become available or adjust your assessment and measurement periods appropriately.
